Does anyone know WHY Yarmolenko has not started for us yet?
His last game for Ukraine was back in June and he scored 2 and assisted 2, playing 90 mins! I will try and watch their game on Thursday.
Id be starting him or Perez ahead of Antonio. In fact i would drop Antonio altogether on his last performance and bring Holland onto the bench.

He has been largely ineffective and is very over rated on his showings so far a bit like Avram Pellegrini. IRONMIKE.

The Germans were very happy to unload him as he hasn’t adapted outside Ukraine and the Ukrainians are now talking about him going home in January. Don’t know if that will happen but it is here he is as a player.

I'd have to agree. Sell Antonio and I'd try Yarmolenko, and Arnautovic with Perez in the middle up front with Anderson behind him. I'd murder our fullbacks and get new one's because that's where we are and have been weak for years. Every solid defence has good full backs and ours are rubbish.

Sorry guys but I like Antonio, before he got badly injured he scored a few goals for us and knows where the goal is, not sure our other current midfielders do. Didn't he get picked for England then? Against Wolves he had a couple of chances, one was a good header if I remember as opposed to Snodgrass who I am sure shuts his eyes when he heads the ball.

Iv always liked Antonio, but i don't think he suits MP's style of game. You are right that he has goals in him, but he has not got the technical or tactical ability to be starting games for me. He gives the ball away a lot, and i'm sure other players leave him to it when he goes on his charging runs anticipating he will loose the ball eventually or fail to put in a good final ball. Other players are much more willing to make runs for you when you can deliver quality more consistently, remember the movement when Payet got on the ball :) I feel he pulls it off 1/ 5 times at best, and most likely that is the time other players have stopped their run.
The strengths in his game suggest to me that he should be given a chance up front down the middle where he can physically terrorise centre backs, not technically good enough for the wide midfielder role. Useful player though when the counter attack is your only outlet.

If you saw the Ukraine game you would see why Yarmolenko isn’t starting. At best you would say he is completely unfit. At worst he could be another’s Boogers.
