Well that's us bottom of the league then, Masuaku is not a defender, Fredericks was poor, and Noble (love him to bits) but he's a sub at best now, I know it's only the first game but this could've been 7 or 8, at least that's a tough fixture out the way.

I think you are being harsh on Fredericks. Antonio left him exposed far too much and one man cannot defend against two.

The best thing for West Ham now is for nobody to panic and we just go again next week. Pellegrini was never going to change the mentality over night and from that performance and the goals conceded we can see that the mentality within the team is poor.

{Ed001's Note - Fredericks is not a good defender. Players were overrunning him in the Championship too. Teams will exploit you down that flank every time he plays.}

God help us if that's the Pelegrini way I am forever the optimist and think we will put 5 past Bournemouth next week - honest.

Noble can't be a sub as we don't have a defensive midfielder to replace him.

{Ed001's Note - Obiang?}

Right i have been slaughtered on here slagging NOBLE off it ain't just him but read my recent post against good teams noble isn't quick enough or strong enough if that's our midfield rice was awful and ain't a midfielder fact freddericks will be ok ogbonna was dreadful and if you play a high line you have to have midfielders that can track runners and we aint, now do the noble fans think he's the good i'm not saying it was his fault solely but i said youve got to have pace in midfield not to beat players but to track back ANDERSON looked ok MASUAKU ain't a defender i'd have plyed DIOP in the c/ b with balbuena and ogbonna at left back although ogbonna wasnt great but we were asked to play a high line against pace wasnt the best tatic. COYI.

Wether he is a good defender or not isn’t really my point. I haven’t seen much of him previously but you would think that the experts charged with running the team are aware of his strengths and weaknesses. If he can’t defend then don’t put Antonio in front of him.

I’m certainly not one for knee jerk reactions and I have already said that we would struggle against Liverpool at home. I try to look for pros and cons I’m each. The cons are numerous; mentality is poor, midfield is just lacking, opportunities weren’t created in abundance. Pros; zero.

But to judge us on one game against a top top side would be naive. Let us see in 2 months. The midfield issue is massive but hopefully Pellegrini has a solution for this. I’m certainly not worried just yet. It wasn’t great to watch and I think Antonio in particular should be nowhere near the side but my optniom means absolutey nothing.

Let’s all just relax, to judge week to week is ridiculous.

Overunning FREDERICKS doubt that ed he's very very quick i just think he got exposed because ANTONIO left him exposed and the reason fulham didn't keep him was his wage demands going forward i thought he did ok. COYI.

{Ed001's Note - he is quick but he doesn't track back. Even when he does, the lad can't tackle.}

I know where your coming from ed but i think he will be ok ZABALETTA woukd have got slaughtered also in that first half the liverpool play was very goid and themfront three would give anyone nightmares but I've been saying on here about NOBLE whos NOT a premier league player no more and rice i did feel for him but on his money i'd run around and make myself look bad for the money i'm sick to death of us trying to convert players into positions they can't play that's the problem too many flair and no technical midfielders look at KIETA he's was superb them players are out there and they may or may not want to come to us but come on SANCHEZ from a player who was lianed out by FIORENTINA because he ain't good enough i know he didn't play but there was the 32 year old we sign every window cis we can't help ourselves but he ain't the answer trust me and i akso said selk ANTONIO why we can get decent money for him get rid he ain't good enough. COYI.

{Ed001's Note - it does look like your window has not really come close to fixing your issues, but the season has only just started so it might come good in time.}

Totally agree Ed i do think any team will struggle against liverpool and how good was KIETA what a player. COYI.

{Ed001's Note - he is a special talent, I have spent a whole season waiting to see him don the red shirt and hoping he would live up to expectations. Though, it must be said, he played well within himself. He is better than that. Seriously that lad is like a more offensive version on Kante at his best.}
