I’d be surprised if our starting XI v Liverpool has been on the pitch at the same time yet.

To be honest Mike I never take to much from the pre season games, I know nothing of the foreign imports to be honest, so I am always sceptical, but there were number on the site talking about Anderson, Diopp, Balbuena, as being extra special signings, I Lways have my reservations on imports, to much to take into consideration, have a lot of these special signings being based on a You Tube clips, I hope I’m wrong? I see Brighton have made 8 signings so far for a total of £40m, I like the way Chris Hughton does his business, quietly, efficiently, doesn’t seem to alert other clubs to start an auction, I will very interested to see them this season, was impressed last year with limited resources. ⚒⚒⚒.

What we’re they playing at 65%? It’s a friendly! Not seen West Ham pass so much in about 25 years! We have people that look comfortable on the ball! Wilshere is going to be immense, Balbuena has 2 proper feet I can tell ya! Diop is mustard! Anderson is awesome! Yarmolenko is class! Fredericks is an amazing right back! Fabianski best pl stats for last 2 years! Arnie is unplayable! No one wants to get injured and no knee really cares! No we are not city! We are a project! As a fan I’m saying let’s wait and see! I’m actually not excited about Liverpool I can see us playing well and getting beat but over a season we will finish top 10 and you are going to see a lot of goals! So stop moaning and claiming we ain’t a city and show awareness that these guys are strolling to get fitness and not pick anything up! Roll on a great campaign because our window has been the best ever for whufc.

don't think we've seen our strongest 11 just yet. pellegrini knows what he's doing. I'd much rather see Antonio miss an open goal in pre-season he'll know for next time when it really matters.

I think with the defenders its the same they are trying hard passes its not like they are giving away simple balls. some of the passes were quite audacious best to know your limits now? only guna make you sharper and work harder.

there are positives too how good is fredericks? absolute bargain. they are good players i think you can see the quality just need time to gel.

Not to mention our transfer business isn't over yet. Liverpool isn't the ideal first game but it just might be players are going to relish the opportunity to play against them on there debut and if we get at them and attack we will cause them problems.

Jakestar, love your optimism mate, that’s the way it should be and I am like you really optimistic tinged with a little uncertainty hoping it all gels👍 But any criticisms made are only people’s opinion! As you say we shouldn’t expect to much effort put in before the season starts for fear of injuries, that why I take no notice of pre season friendliest, but you should still see class shine through even in a half paced friendly! This has got to be the most eagerly awaited start of a season that any of us ⚒ fans have ever had, I will be on Holiday for the Liverpool game but will watch it hopefully whist away😄👍 I have had 2 very optimistic bets before the season starts, 500/ 1 for the Premier League title and 50/ 1 for a top 4 finish😂😂 maybe optimistic but you never know, COYI ⚒⚒⚒⚒.

For me, the issue is that I don’t yet know what is realistic to expect from this vastly improved squad, but I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a damn site better than last season!

I would like to think that we will be the best of the rest, you've got your top six teams that are always hard to shift from them positions with their spending power and attractiveness to players i. e. able to offer European football, so to finish 7th 8th is the target to aim for, and winning silverware would be a nice bonus, (or am I asking too much too soon) .
