After yesterday's performance it's quite clear we need a couple of midfielders, I've just seen Chelsea want Ramsey from Arsenal so could we not enquire about Drinkwater or Barkley at least they've got prem experience, that is one thing that I'm concerned about all these players we are linked with that haven't got prem experience, it's probably just me worrying too much, let's see what happens.

Totally agree Stevie and a very important position that we have to get right.
IMO Kayoute has 1 good season and now toilet, can’t hold position, can’t mark, head or string a pass together - needs to go quickly

Obiang better than Kayoute but not good enough anymore and also wants to return to Sampdoria

Barkley - reckon he has had bad advice from agent as went to chelski - never going to play in their midfield.
Rather take him over drinkwater IMO and as you say has prem experience

Still need 2 dms to replace the outgoings âš’.

Leeforbo, they could build a spine with prem experience, we've already got two keepers then you could get Mawson or Dawson, with Barkley or Drinkwater alongside Wilshere then Arnie up top, then you've got at least 3 English players trying to get back in the England squad and we all know what happens with 3 Hammers in the England squad, it WILL come home, lol.

Along with Anderson, our best signing of the window will be Rice once he gets a new contract. The midfield looks far more stable and purposeful when he plays. He also seems to give Noble the space and time he needs.

MP will have seen the difference he made in the second half yesterday.

Obiang has become a bench player at best to lob on in the final few minutes to defend a on every goal lead.

I think if we went for Barkley he would come. Once he was ripped for great things and I do still quite like him. Would it be worth a least a season long loan bid?

I defiantly think Barkley but not sure if drinkwater is a step up from noble really - I know he is a bit younger but skill wise not sure JMO

I would like to still see West Ham spend on another Dm as well though - guess the debate starts with who is the best we have been linked with - IMO Mendes?! âš’.

Whory Drinkwater is on 170k a week at Chelsea, and I personally don't think his worth over a 100k a week tops, so even if we wanted him he would need to take a massive pay cut.

{Ed002's Note - Drinkwater earns far, far, far less than that.}

Thanks Ed for rectify my mistake, i read it one of the tabloids, I should have know better really, slap on the wrist for being so niave.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome. Maybe that is what West Ham will pay him?}

Hes not even on 100,000 grand a week and he's on a different level to noble and kiuyate but if some are to be believe would only keeo our bench warm because i'm telling you it wasnt just vardy and mahrez why leicester won the league DRINKWATER, MORGAN AND the nutty german HUTH were massive contributions to their title believe me a lot of assists and breaking up play was down to drinkwater but if they had NOBLE they could have done the treble as he's a better player than DRINKWATER. COYI😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭.
