If we didn't bring in a DM do you think we should try use, Oxford, Rice along with Noble to try and cover the position even if till the Jan window if it does not work out.
I personally think Rice has shown maturity last season and would absolutely grow into the roll along with Noble experience maybe giving him a few tips,
I know you have mentioned Oxford thinks he is better than he is but again I feel he has bags of potential and with the right guidance feel as Rice he could excel in this position.
Or do you think its way to early for these two and a DM is defiantly required?
It was just a thought I had, and think especially Rice if could save us a fortune.

Agree we need at least one more CDM, especially if Palace and Sampdoria put the money down on Kouyate and Obiang.
I am confident that MP and Husillos have it covered. They have been ahead of the game throughout this window.

He seems to have the maturity, brain to absorb what is expected, and if MP said this is your new role, this is where I want you to play and excel in I feel he would take the challenge with both feet so to speak and make that his own, he will have bad games but its all experience, by next season we could have a Kante on our hands. but he has to get more than £14k per week.
Mike have you heard anything further on where he is with a new contract?

The lack of quality and depth in DM/ CM is concerning, selling Kouyate is no great loss based on the last 2 seasons, I am sad about Obiang though. Let us hope that we bring in two quality central midfielders as replacements.

WH, yes but players who we did have that not rated may be under MP, plus as Mike said were building a squad over the next couple windows, so if no one else came in i'm still a happy hammer and look forward to the start of the season albeit Liverpool away.

Bottom line - our transfer business under MP/ Husillos has strengthened bothersome our attack and our defence. This means we should score more and concede fewer goals.
