If we are after Grealish, we are in a good position as Villa want Snodgrass, I hear Villa want £40m we won't pay that, if we really do want a 22 year old with bags of promise and is a home nation lad, why don't we offer £20m plus Snodgrass and see where we go.

If its just media talk so be it, but with young Rice doing so well why don't we try to get these youngsters in for the future, even £30m plus Sndgrass may not be so bad, were not going into Europe under Pelligreni so we should spend wisely on young players now, and we have a few of our own to start to build.

By keep trying to buy from abroad established players but no prem experience we may finish a few spots higher up the table, but that by the by, these players will move on after a few seasons, where as the young hungry especially home nation lads we may in a few seasons have a really good base of a squad.

Swap Arnie for Rashford, get Grealish and with Rice and the others coming through as said we may look decent in a few seasons, build for the future not necessary for next 2 seasons

The thing that puts me off of Grealish. Everyone knows he's a great talent, everyone knows he's got tonnes of potential, so why wasn't he been snapped up sooner?
I've heard rumours before he's a bit of a lad. Is he another Ravel Morrison?

Warrington £20m plus Snodgrass for Grealish😠😠 Not in my book is he ever worth that money, never rated Grealish from the Little I’ve seen of him and agree with Ed’s comment “ fancies himself” to much, also to lightweight. As a preference using Snodgrass as a bargaining tool, agree with Stevie that Dembele would be my preferred choice of the 2!

agree with Chelmsford but don't agree with all the swap rashford ideas as much as I love the idea realistically would never happen. worry we will have to set out sights a little lower than we have as we get the Napoli and Monaco's come in for the same player in which we struggle or even can't compete.

Appreciate comments Chelms, i totally understand were your coming from about Grealish and Eds comments also fair comment,

I think my point was that there are plenty of young players not already superstars that maybe available for what seems a lot of money now but a good season becomes justified. Look at Arnie would you say he was worth £50m plus under Bilic, I certainly thought another Ayew on our hands average player, but in the right position and right coaching he has flourished.

Grealish has bags and bags of potential, Ok lightweight maybe loves himself, probably. but the potential is there, the right coaching and management can sort out the minor issues and what seems an awful lot of money now becomes peanuts in 2 seasons.

Villa are pushing it with £40m and they know it, I would suspect if no one comes in at that price you will probably pick him up for around £33-35m maybe even less as Villa need the money, yes it is still a lot of money and gamble but for a young 22 yr old with potential is it really that much in todays crazy prices? . I think he could become a top player if developed properly but can understand why some look negative on him.

What has happened to Antonio? I heard Burnley were interested, if that’s the case, it should make us think what does Dyche see in him, he has worked wonders at Burnley! I rate Antonio but something has gone wrong for whatever reason, he seemed maybe to have some weight and disciplinary problems, but for what reason? I was a fan of Antonio, good utility, reliable player, always seem to give 100%. I would be really disappointed to see him go and flourish elsewhere, when we could be benefiting from him if his problem was sorted? He was crucified for the mistake he made at Palace, which for me was unfair, I wondered if his confidence went flat after that, especially after Hart announced his “unprofessional “ play on the MOTD post match interview? Any comments or reasons does anybody know why or is it a genuine injury problem, which I don’t personally don’t think it is?

Hi Chelmsford agree with you about Antonio but since the Hamstring injury he has had problems

His style of play will always leave him suspect to the weakness that has probably developed he depends on speed and particularly acceleration

I really hope he can overcome the injury and get back to where he was fully fit and playing with and off Arnie I think the pair could be really good.

mercerise, great thanks for the update, yes I remember he had the hammo problem, but I stupidly thought that seemed so long ago, it may have been a WH problem with Moyes or whoever! As you say he puts so much effort into his game with his pace, but carrying some extra weight won’t be good for his style of play? Then with reading of the Burnley interest made me suspect that all was not well at the club! Thanks again👍😄⚒⚒⚒⚒.
