Makes me wonder sometimes, do we actually have any scouts or if we do, do they work from home, or are they too busy watching kids for the future in 10 years! We need the players now to start negotiating with for the new season!

Yep, we have scouts that sit at home watching "THE SIMPSONS"! On a more serious note, we know from previous experience during every transfer window just how good our scouts are and the knack of being able to find a hidden gem and we are pretty poor. Just look at our transfer history and it shows. OK, so, PAYET AND Possibly Lanzini apart, the scouts really havn;t uncovered anybody. Look at other clubs around the leagues and around the world who take the time and invest proper money to get players. The age old problem with us is that WHEN we ACTUALLY FINALLY spot a talent we want we make ridiculously low offers which get laughed at. Operating in this way gets you nothing. Just look at the Dendoncker saga that dragged on for weeks. Anderlecht made it clear what value they'd placed on him so what did we do? We bid £4m with the rest in instalments (what a joke)! And I can guarantee no matter what anybody out there says, we will do the same in the summer because SULLI loves haggling for a bargain! Unless he is removed and has nothing to do with transfers it will continue in the same vein!

Phil, i'm sure most transfers are instalments, not saying they underbid and don't seem to turn transfers into a farce as so it would seem. sure we would all like to see a better strategy in the market perhaps we will with a director of football.

Payet and lanzini were slavs choices he tried to bring lanzini to besitskas or perhaps it was there scouts suppose you never know.

Masuaku has turned out into a good buy and is a good age.

fernandes is a great prospect and still young, so it can't be that terrible the problem leads back to the need for a director of football so we sign the right players who will work in our team and can best out of them as players.

Moyes is right in believing we need a massive overhaul gold and sulli will have to dig deep hopefully the recent protests is a wake up call.

arguably need 2 new CB's a RB.

Quality CDM-CM possibly even 2.

striker and a winger.

alot of work is needed on a positive side looks like the academy has got some great potential amongst the ranks. wouldn't be suprised to see browne or holland get a run out towards the end of season providing we are safe by then.
