While I hope Oxford, Burke and others get their opportunity, I can't see how and when this will happen. There is no doubt they have potential but with fans demanding we bring in new talent every year (and rightly so) only those consistently beating a path at the door will get an opportunity and when they do, they must take it like Rice has.

Exactly this. fans want new expensive signings and they want kids getting a chance but unfortunately you can't have it both ways, after moving to this "stadium" and having our club totally changed i'm afraid chasing that means no kids coming through fact, that's why I was happy at upton park chugging along as we was we had identity.
