Playing the star signing out of position could get him the sack, if he wants to play both Carroll and Hernandez then why not play a back four with either Obiang or Kouyate in front of the defence, Antonio and Arnautovic out wide with Lanzini (when fit) or Ayew behind the two strikers, basically a diamond formation?

I just don't understand it. Billic clearly still thinks caroll is the main man and still sticks by him. Hernandez Is not a winger. He is a 6yard poacher. Put him where he will get goals. This just shows how he doesn't have a clue what and who to play where. By all means play Carroll as well. but play 442. Play lanzini alongside obiang in the middle.

In my opinion I would bench Carroll and use him as a super sub. Get lazini Hernandez Antonio and arnoutovic on the ball there are goals in this team. Play the right formation we will break teams down. as games fo by I just don't get how bilic is managing in this league. Its not like he's got a bad team. Man up. drop the dead wood and play our best team in the best positions.

Yea I get your point. but he spent a lot in the summer. doesn play them them in their normal positin. Its not rocket science. Hernandez I a lot better than Carroll. so why play him in a position where he can't flurish. If us fans (who aren't PL coaches) can see it why can't he.

Coz at the moment it's at the other end were having issues. We've had to go back to basics to stop conceding goals. Hernandez if he is "world class" as I see someone ridiculously put, surely should be able to run on to an Andy Carroll knock down from the left hand side shouldn't he? We haven't got the guile in the side at the moment to put balls through the eye of a needle to him until we get Lanzini back. At the moment he's doing the right thing and putting the teams results first. Bilic ain't got everything right but when he sorts one thing out it seems fans get on his case about something else.

So you think Hernandez is average? He's a class player. So what you're saying is we buy a centre forward but should play him out of position. What if you did that to all the players just because he could run on to knock ons which someone has stupidly put.

He's an excellent player, but he's not world class. Modern football these days to be a top player, you have to be flexible. How many teams do you see in world football that player with a striker who literally just scores goals in the box and nothing else like Michael owen in his pomp. No one. We've got a good selection of different types of striker for different games which is good.

Every fan has there right to an opinion, but sometimes I think people are extremely harsh and just seem to find any reason to moan because 'there a fan and they have the right" and Bilic and the team should accept it, I think people should calm down a bit at times and show a little bit more patience.

I reckon plenty of times he will play up top against certain teams where we can play on the counter, and I'm sure there will be plenty of days and weeks where Carroll will be injured 😂
If a month or so down the line and we still ain't solved this then definitely, Bilic has to take some blame as at the end of the day he wanted chicarito, but at the moment I think he's doing the right thing and trying to get the solid platform at the back to work from.

Hi hammer316 Dave is spot on chiquarito is world class finisher mate you put the ball in the right spot and he'll score, and you can play both up top and I think they could become one of the best partnership in premiership and I'm quite reserved with our team but I really think once they know each others game they could be potent but you have to play 3-5-2 period . COYI.
