Just read that the club is valued at £800m and if the owners were to sell up before August 2022 they would pay just over £200 m in windfall tax, if they sold between August 2022 and August 2027 it would come down to £135m but if they sold after 2027 they pay nothing, so maybe the owners want to hang on to it for another 10 years, but they're not getting any younger, just thought I would put it out there.

IRONMIKE : I am sure you are right and so can you enlighten us? I sometimes see supporters complain about being bored by the finance side of the club. I find this surprising as it is a business and the salaries offered to employees (players) are all important in determining the quality of those employees. It would be great if we had more analysis of the financial side of the club -across West Ham sites in general as it is crucial. Also ongoing details of possible investment/ sale are as interesting as possible signings. JOE.

There has been speculation ( and plain guess work by the press ) to the clubs value, wasn't the last one £600 m with the Qatari royal family being linked ( false was the outcome ) but £800m is really way off, more like £200m or less I'd guess ( but I'm not a guru ) .
