Jack Sullivan is saying that it's unlikely we will make any signings today unless someone exceptional becomes available. Apparently Bilic would rather keep the cash for the summer to invest then.

I think holding out till the summer is the most logical option. To buy hogan would be a mistake, he won't work with our style of play, one striker supported by 3 attacking players across the field. How often does billic play 2 strikers? When sakho played with Carroll he was pushed to the right side of midfield. Hogan playing as the lone striker will be no different then playing Calleri, no hold up play, left isolated, with little defensive contribution. It's a little risky with Carrolls injury record, Sakho out for another 4/ 6weeks, Calleri still finding his feet and Fletcher needing more experience, I'm not saying we don't need a striker now but hogan is not the right answer and with no time left I'd rather we save our money till the summer then waste it on a bench warmer, unless we change our whole system? Then what we go for anther striker in the summer? Hogan a 6 month fix? worst case Carroll gets injured, we play with Antonio up front supported by lanzini, Feghouli, Snodgrass. Then go after batshuayi, sturridge etc in the summer.

It's my opinion a right back is more importent in this window then a stiker/ scott hogan.
