That was horrible, don't know where to start, except Carroll. Has not learnt a fundamental rule of football, don't dribble in your own penalty area! ridiculous! I don't know why we started with him. He is a sub for change of style that's it, The first half looked like bfs was back in charge. BUT prior to this game. Some people where getting carried away once again, anybody getting carried away now! I fancy Reid and ogbonna will start next week, there where a lot of poor performances, Lanzini, and moses The poorest amongst them, we are way, way, off the top sides, city united, and arsenal, all came away with points, and none played well, THAT is the difference. PLEASE SB don't start Carroll again. UNLESS injuries or suspensions demand it wh change whole style to suit him crazy, THIS has been a dramatic wake up call, to all those being prematurely carried away, and to our team who where getting overconfident, IRONMIKE.

Spot on Mike, why did we keep hitting high balls against a team of giants, we hardly won a header all day, it was obvious that it was the Carroll illness again. Two poor defensive errors cost us two goals and we did not have a plan B just like it was with BFS. I really hope this is just a one off. We are going to lose a few games at some point, but playing well and losing is one thing, today was as you quite rightly say, HORRIBLE.

Didn't watch the game, listened to about 30 minutes on the radio then got the raving hump. We seem to struggle against average sides. think it was a good wake up call. sometimes offence can be the best form of defense. As sahko was injured, I would have gone with 4-4-2 playing zarate behind Carroll and would have used kohyate as the dm.

Sometimes we have to vary our formation whether it be 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1, 4-5-1 or 4-3-3. we have to be comfortable with playing these different formations.
Last year under bfs, every time j. Collins got the ball all he looked to do was knock it long. Seems like we are still short upfront.

Such a let down, after watching us smash Chelsea last week and Arsenal at the start of the season, I have no idea how we capitulated against a relatively average side today. Where was Sakho, how come ALL of the players were off, did something go on in the dressing room?

Are they envious of Carroll starting, some reason? This is exactly what happen last season with Big Sam, as soon as Carroll (and Nolan) came back, we capitulated and the season was over, we cannot let that happen again. Song come back ASAP.

Agreed. The sooner we let Carroll go the better. All we ever do with him in the side is whack long balls to him HOPING he can get on the end. We are so much better without him in the side and then we can play foot ball again. Lanzini and Payet look so different when he plays but its hardly surprising because they have to change the playing style and aim for a big target man. We need Sakho back and in future need strikers of his type, hard working that chase the ball down and harass defenders.

As for MOSES, he wasn't much better. Also, what's happened with Antonio and why did we buy him if we're not playing him.
