In my opinion West Ham are in a bit of a quandary at the moment. We are going to be in Europe for the first time in a while, and we need a lot of players to give us a squad capable of lasting the season without tiring out. I feel, and I am sure you will agree that we need both first team players and squad players to join.

I think signing the likes of Darren Randolph from Birmingham on a free is useful, but the difference in class between him and Adrian is too big. So I think another Goalkeeper is needed.

The signing of Pedro Obiang is superb, he can slot in nicely with Kouyate in the two defensive midfield positions that Slaven Bilic favours.

We still need a couple of defenders, particularly at right back, and I've read a few reports online this morning that look like we are going to go for Jenkinson on loan again. This would be a good signing if we can get him.

I personally would rather we signed squad players that are youngsters that we can bed in to the team over the course of the season. My transfer targets at the moment are as follows. (and please note, these aren't necessarily players West Ham are pursuing, they are players I personally think we should target)

Adama Traore - Barcelona B - Right Wing

Loic Remy - Chelsea - Forward

Charlie Austin - QPR - Forward

Hi there Die_4_WHUFC. Great list of players and some very achievable. Doesn't it just make you wonder what calibre of player Sam would have targetted and doesn't it seem a bit odd that we need all these improvements.

Personally, I like hs thinkin targetting Remy and Yilmaz. Lots of goals between those two and wide men including Gorkan Tore and with Cabaye great supply. I just wonder where Noble, Dowqning etc fit
