You've heard it all before but I'd like to voice my opinion on Sam Allardyce, at the moment I'm sitting on the fence "is he the right choice for West Ham"?There's are percentage of fans who generally dislike the way he goes about his business, as soon as there's a drop of form they come out all guns blazing, people forget we are a mid table side (at present) we definitely out performed our expectations in the early part of the season, now were in a slow period, largely due to injury and not bringing in any reinforcements. When you look at the season in whole it's been a good one based on form, there's only a handful of games were we can say we didn't compete. I'm hearing a lot of complaining about team selection. why don't we play nene? amalfitano? why did we loan out zarate? etc the truth is most fans voicing there opinions don't know a great deal! Besides reading up on the hammers, going to the game every week, what else do you see? I'm sure most don't head to the training ground everyday and view ever session. It sounds a little stupid when people say they know better when all there going off is a 90min game or a 10/15min cameo. I'm not saying fans shouldn't have an opinion but look at it from outside the box.  Don't base your opinion on a patch of form base it on the full period of Sam's west ham career, I'd say he's in the green.
What I dislike about Sam from a fans view he seems to be the type "my way or the highway" I believe a group of heads are better then one, he needs to welcome new ideas and opinions cause he's not always right. One thing that makes me laugh when people say replacing sam is a bad move, I'm sure there are dozens of managers out there that can match and do a greater job, but changing manager at a crucial time is a big risk? It can be for the best or the worst its unknown. I'd give Allardyce a one year deal with an option of another year.

Sorry Hammer689 but I really think things need moving forward without BFS at the helm. Injuries apart I still think his limitations are there for all to see. I just feel that if, as the owners continually tell us, we are aiming to be a "top" premiership club, we need a manger with a little more imagination. Nothing against Sam personally and he has done a good job for us in terms of promotion and stabilising the team. However that for me is the issue. We seem to be stagnating at the moment. Really dissapointed we started 4-5-1 yesterday against Sunderland (probably the dullest game of the season until the last 2 mins!). I have to ask what benefit would there be in giving Sam another year?

to be a top 4/6 side we need a better manager I agree, but unless we can get one there's no point moving on sam for someone who'll get a similar result. There's pros and cons for every situation I'm just lucky it's not me making the decision.
