who handles our transfer policy?
yes given our current postion attracting players was always going to be a hard sell but we have struggled to move players on aswell.
due to our current relegation battle I never expected any sales to come in only loans/frees that way if we do go down there been very little outlay only wages and loan fees. come the summer if we stay up feel there need to be radical changes.
lets start looking at postions over next 6 months where we can improve,
not going to mention the striker situ because we need to judge that over coming months.
so we have a/c c/c and m/b they are the main strikers if bfs wants mccormack get rid of maiga/vazte either loan or sale.
midfield we have 12 midfielders we have make some cuts here a/m for me ravel/nolan/joe cole all can find the back the net. dm, s diame out noble/collison/diarra.
playing a/c upfront
c/c/m/b playing of loan striker
a midfield of downing lw joe cole am jarvis on the rw those 3 are interchangeable with either noble diarra d/m.
at the back reid/tomkins unless a good cb comes in demel/rat rb /lb look to strengthen in the summer bertrand/solly.
we have far to many players the wrong side of 30 yes they expirenced but tend to takes far longer to recover and wages are to big, offer them decent wage made up of win bonuses
i would like see to someone brought into handle transfers in/out not really a dof.
im not suggesting that should be the line up just saying there are alternative to 4231 or 451.
id really like to see downing in certain games play as a wing back (he has played this post for lfc with jarvis in front of him, jarvis speed would allow him to track back and help should they begin to get some the other teams player would to step up allowing more space for the like nolan/cole/morrison to exploit
one thing if for sure chelsea won't be a easy game we need at least a point to take us into the swansea game, come you irons come out fighting and we will be there for 100%

I would not disagree with any of the above a radical review of transfer policy is long over due. It is not rocket science look at what the top clubs do, they have 2 players for every position that are inter changeable depending on injury's, suspension or form, we don't see them playing full backs as centre backs or no strikers because your main man is injured. A constant gripe of mine is they all have a plan B a different formation that actually changes during a game depending on your opponents tactics. We just keep lumping long balls, how many times do we see our goalkeeper throw a ball to the full back and start a passing movement and keep the ball, very rarely if at all.
It will be the same old stuff tonight, I hear one Italian may be on the bench but the other is not match fit. They are professional sportsman for goodness sake. I would rather have an unfit Italian than some of the wasters we have had to put up with this year. The whole thing needs a lift if we are expected to get behind the boys tonight give us something to cheer. COYI
