If they actually pull through with Ross McCormack as well as Borriello and Nocerino I would be more than satisfied considering the circumstances. But there's one prob, wheres the covering defender we need to bring in?

As good as McCormack might be, he will not be played in a position to get the best out of him. Fat Sam plays % football knock into big fella either set pieces or long balls and feed off scraps. His love child Nolan will always play just off main striker all the time he is fit or not suspended. I can't help feeling that who ever we get and what their reputation unless we revise our tactics we will not improve our goal scoring record.

Leeds rejected it

Have to agree with you there tickerboyce bfs has no plan b full stop some of his strikers past and present are unsuited to his style of play.
maiga maynard baldock have never been suited to his style of play as you pointed out its all about knocked downs balls. and dead ball situations with someone pushing up from midfield ie nolan.
when we had problems scoring I would have liked to have played to our strengths ie cole/maiga upfront jarvis /downing on the wings with either with a center of either joe cole/morrison/nolan as a/m cdm either diame/noble/ diarra/ or collison if he had gone with 442 and got results and he got results he would have unable to return to the 451.
the reason this has not happened and this is why he went 460 formations proves that if bfs started getting results along with good performances he would been unable to justify returning to the boring 451 which is designing to nick and grind out results.
i still feel a change is needed at the club not just the manager but in the way the club is being run on a day to day basis
