I could see this happening a mile off!

Whose next we are going to miss out on.

Every window we go through the same and are fed the same rubbish where we have supposed talks and more talks, then we consider, mull and ponder and then make insulting low bids trying to save money and the saga drags on and on only for another club to come along and offer what's asked and beat us to the signing. Look at dendoncker as an example.

Totally agree Mac. Add Almiron and Maddison to Dendoncker. We just end up with injury ravaged players like Wiltshire and Yarmalenko.

Agree, and now I read Yarmalenko could be going out on loan. we look thread bare as it is, how can this be right. UTTER SHAMBLES!

Same old west ham. Full backs have been s position where we have needed quality replacements for some time and now we are desperate, the same as the most critical. position in the game, keeper. How can villa tie up s deal for pepe Reina (old but quality) and we scrap around the championship for a keeper who is injured and used to play for us ( and let's face it not the best of keepers) . Its just desperate. Wtf are our scouts doing. Pay me and I could find 5 keepers just on Google.

Mac3, posted same critical review earlier about wtf are our scouts doing earlier but not on yet regarding Adama Traore? Do we actually have any?

To be truthful I think the entire organisation needs a shake up starting at the top. As for scouts? Ate you telling me the best keeper option we could find was Randolph who is injured If we had moved maybe we could have got begovic or Reina! Its the same every window.

The best player we missed out on fafing about probably trying penny pinch in footy terms is N'GOLO KANTE who we found and Leicester hijacked that deal. COYI.

Sending Sillyvans son to negotiate is probably part of the problem - we will end up with some over the hill players for millions more than they are worth.

Was never going to happen! . just the usual so called ITK´s saying it´s a done deal but being royally spoofed by his agent all to drum up business and Spurs took the bait!

nothing new, standard agent behaviour!

Mac. Fernandez club accepted our offer and it is Gedson Fernandez who has chosen to join Tottenham. This has nothing to do with our club management.

I’m a West Ham fan but given the choice as a player who I would rather join . of take Tottenham and Mourinho as a manager any day if I wanted to develop my game. It’s sad but it’s a fact.

I’m going to be frank and say it again . without DGS we wouldn’t even have a club. Get behind the team instead of constantly complaining about what we get and what we don’t from a player perspective. Half of the rumours we read are “bollocks” anyway.

We have a team that should already be challenging after spending £150m over two seasons. Our owners are multi millionaires NOT billionaires.

They need to draw a line somewhere or watch us plummet into financial disaster like the Icelandic owners did. COYI!

I agree 64, I suggest anyone who has the money then stump it up for the club!
Every club is a business and people will try and make money, that’s how the world works I’m afraid.
DGS have made some bad decisions but so has every other owners of clubs.
We are still in a better position than we were 10 years ago when we were not far off going bust so credit them with that.
I would look at the training regime, facilities etc as we seem to get a load more injuries than any other teams, that’s what has done us this year, we were cruising until we lost Antonio and fabianski, rushed back and now they are out again.
Get to the root of the problem before signing more players.

Well said COYI64
Were I not a WHU fan and in Fernandes's position I would choose Tottenham. They are in Europe, and no threat of relegation. Yes he may get more game time with us, but he is still very young and will develop a lot as a rotation player in JM's team. Plus they offered a HUGE buyout amount, which he will benefit him as well no doubt. No blame on the board here IMO.
I have said who my preferred options are, but its Jan, we are in a relegation fight (which means any spend is a HUGE financial risk) and we have limited funds. We need to be realistic as fans. I'd take Joe Allen at the right price TBH, at least he has PL experience which is important in our situation.
Sander Berge would be great, but again, he is in Europe and WHU are in a relegation battle. He may get a better (less risky) offer in summer by staying where he is.

Yes it is about money but you have to think short, medium and long term. I have been critical of Diop this season as I think he needs to work on his positional play and also using his strength more.

Now hopefully rumours aren’t true though and we would sell to get money for transfers. Yes seems like a good bit of business if you think short term, buy for 26 sell for 40, but the recent windows should have proved something to the owners surely.

If we had 400 million to spend we still won’t get who we want as we aren’t at the top table. We don’t play in Europe, we aren’t doing well in the league, and we don’t win cups. Therefore you need to gradually improve and that means if you find a player that will improve selling him should be the last option.

Yes we will balance books but we won’t attract anyone with the money except a Joe Allen or equivalent. Then in two years Diop will be worth 80 million and we will be scratching around for a CB worth 15 million and 32 years old as that is we can get and will still, if we are lucky, be a mediocre, fighting for mid table, premier league side, if we are lucky!
