Just read that Arnie is on the verge of leaving for £36m, that will do for me.

Would love it to be true, but sadly, I suspect, it’s more media nonsense.

I’ve got everything crossed chelms, him and his brother should just do one they are both as bad as each other. I’d sell him for 6m the twit. Anyone heard anything from iron mike at all?

Getting a bit short on strikers and the new season is just over a month away. Best we stop. messing about and pull our fingers out.

I think the rumours are very stron and true but not €36million.

My undertaking is that it’s 25m euros. Which will cover what we paid for him and the sell on fee.
I’ll be glad to see the back of the sulky bitch and his brothers who’s a nobody without Arnie.

I still question West Ham’s common sense having a release fee of £40 that expired on 14 June.

Bye bye Arnie. I wish you the worst of luck and hope you get what you deserve in China. obscurity and money which is all you seem to play football for.

I really have no reservations about letting him go. He’s worse then Payet was.

Wished we had taken the money in January. don't believe in keeping anyone against their will as destroys team unity etc. Good riddance. Maxi Gomez and Rondon with (cant believe I am saying this) Hugill as back up and will be happy.

get rid of him he's more trouble than he's worth WH has treated him very well its know time to pull the pin. I hope he likes rice because in my eyes that's all he's worth and as for his rotton brother i hope his rice is full of weavels.

Cant wait for him to go now. Maybe Ed's can shed some light on this but does a player miss out on a percentage if he hands in a transfer request?

{Ed002's Note - 5% of the full transfer fee. So something like €1.25M - but I have no doubt his brother (who is the real culprit here) would look to have Shanghai SIPG pay a signing on fee. Also the rules on non Chinese players are tough - a maximum of six can be signed in a season; a max of four at any one time and a maximum of three on the pitch at any one time. So they need to make space as they are maxed out so one needs to leave.}

I can see it taking some time. As Ed has said the rules around foreign players means they have to clear space if it is SIPG so won’t happen in the next few days. If that’s the case they need to have him moved away from the rest of the squad and train back in London. Having watched the Chinese teams over the last few years I can’t wait to hear his whining when he finds out what he is signing up to playing with.

I read something about the Chinese government having a 100% tax on player transfers too not sure how true that is.

So if he hands in the transfer request does that mean he misses out on 5%. I couldn't see him making an official request as was reported if that means he misses out but as you say no doubt there will be a silly signing on fee for him and hefty agent fee for himself. I couldn't believe the statement he came out with I don't think he believes it himself, purely just saying these ridiculous things to drive a wedge between the club and arnautovic. don't want to see his type at west ham anymore but the way things appear in football with all these greedy agents I don't see it happening.

Gomez situation is exactly the same as the carlos bacca one we made the best offer gomez wants his cake and eat it . Move on irons don't waste time we need 2 strikers big time.

I'm hoping we have learnt our lesson bonzo. Fornals transfer Came largely out of nowhere and was done very quickly after it seemed we missed other targets, I have a feeling the same will happen again if we miss out on Gomez the second nd 3rd choice are done quickly no messing about I'm confident we are ready to pull the trigger on those where it seemed with bacca there was no one else lined up and we chased him right up to the end of the window.

Trust in Pellegrini and husillos.

Looking more like Arnie going for less than 25m and less likely Gomez is going to come in - probably all change tomorrow but hopefully Plan B and C will be ready to go.

It’s a balancing act at the moment. IF the Austrian goes to China, money is added to our warchest to either complete the Gomez transfer, or move quickly elsewhere. I am sure MP/ H won’t panic into a buy just because time is moving on. As has already been said, we may end up with a strike force none of us had an inkling about.

Trust in the management.
