I see you lot are having a fantastic season after spending millions in the summer, a few more wins and you could be pushing 10th place 😁.

The women’s team have given us something to look forward to at least.
Another season resigned to believing we should be doing better. At least there were a few decent performances thrown in there I suppose.
Can’t be spending much more I reckon and that’s probably a good thing given our recruitment history.

Bucky, think you are a bit harsh on our Saturday performance, it was the best we have played since I can remember imo! We played with great energy and cannot fault anybody for lack of effort, Masuaku who has taken some real stick had a great game, no he can’t defend but he can fly down the flank with some decent crosses, so that’s his position for me in every game! can only say, it is Pellegrini’s first season, you have to get to know the team you have inherited, then assess what you have. I agree he made some awful signings imo but also some really good ones. Several were signed in desperation just to make up the squad numbers which I can understand! Sorry but can’t get enthusiastic about Women’s football, would rather cut my garden grass🤣 We need to recruit younger fitter signings, the oldies are knackered and can take longer to recover from knocks, yes they will cost more but we need a team than can sustain Premiership status and even more!

Oh don’t get me wrong Chelmsford. Saturday was one of the positive performances I was speaking of. Whilst the result was not positive I believe that performance is more of what it is to be a West Ham. A very good effort after weeks of failing to achieve those standards against teams around us. Then failing to pull it off due in part to luck not being on our side. It’s classic West Ham and I loved it.

Masuaku I like and hope he finds his from from the first season under Bilic when he seemed to play so free and with more confidence. It’s up to the manager to get him performing again.

quietly happy that people are starting to see the positive with Masuaku :-)
