I am hearing from certain "Sources" that the club have 25 Million to spend in the summer. I assume we will sell Marko, Hernandez, Perez, Obiang, Adrian and others?

I hope the funds chest is a bit bigger mate or we got issues lol.

So do I. Just checking as its become click bait on a West Ham fans forum I use. Many in outraged at an unsubstantiated transfer fund figure. Nothing unusual for a West Ham forum hahaha.

might be 25mill to start
but chuck in masuaka, chico and obiang will raise another 30mill and all have youth players ready to fill there spots
byram, fernandes, hugill, byram and oxford will raise another 30mill
so we then sit at 85mill and only lost really
masuaku-johnson ready to replace
obiang-coventry ready to replace
chico-silva ready to replace
then chuck in the likes of perez maybe marko, antonio, ogbonna, snoddy and god knows who else pelle deems not good enough we could be sat on 150mill
even with the intial lists 85mill is a good sum of cash if spent wisely and there are some real good free agents out there this summer
brahimi and herrera from porto
pereira and darmian from man u
all 4 would improve our starting 11 and we haven't even touched the 85mill.

Sounds doable for them players I'd say a good summer would be Gomez, kessie from Milan or someone similar, brahimi and a left back all would be starters so squad and bench would have viable options instead of the walking dead.

Of the 'sell list' I would rather keep Masuaku and Fernandez.
I have always been led to believe it is the wages causing the problem and if we get rid of Chicha, Perez, Carroll I think it is about 400k saved in wages. The rest will probably go as well so your logic is fairly sound and can see around 100m spending power and 500k in wages.
Purely speculation of course.

As long as you've got all summer to teach Masuaku how to defend - even if used as a winger he needs to learn marking, following your man, heading, tackling etc . actually just flog him cheap.

"byram, fernandes, hugill, byram and oxford will raise another 30mill"

Sorry mate, I think you're being massively over optimistic there.

Byram is far to injury prone, Hugill isn't even being considered for a contract by Boro so God knows who else is going to come in for him, Fernandes has had like 2 ok games this season and Oxford got his backside handed to him in the 3 full games he's played (conceding 11) so far and got dropped.

We'd be lucky to get anywhere near £15M for that lot and that takes in to account the fact you're trying to sell Byram twice!

Guyser, when he plays well Masu is brilliant. Maybe you are right but don't think he is any worse than cresswell and younger.
Not up to me though.

Sorry Glen but i think your missing the point Masuaku was brought as a defender but he can't defend. We have a lot of Dross and once we get rid of the dross the Manager could be in a good position to upgrade the team. Some of our players woulds stuggle to get into a Championship side, its all very well saying we will get this amout of money for these players but i find it hard to beleive that any clubs woud pay anything for some of our so called players.
PS. Carrolls house is up for sale that mebe a point in the right direction sor a start.

You are right with valuation of players, of our players only Chicha and Arnie will net more than 10m. I doubt we will sell Antonio but he would also be more than 10 - rest of the players we will be lucky to get rid of without giving them away.
Yes! Loving it :-) You seen the state of his house? Its on rightmove at the moment and looks absolutely tasteless!

Masu has tweeted about his position not being LB in the past. He will be gone in summer 100%
85m is a realistic budget for this summer considering what is available and who we COULD sell. And that is 98% reliant on Arnie being sold, and realistically all the funds we get for him would go on replacing him, so does not effect budget for other positions we need.
What is exciting is the potential wages we could free up! Whatever happens i expect a relatively busy summer.

No way Arnie leaves in the Summer.

No one is going to pay 45m for him at 30 years old. Especially not in China where the transfer tax would take the fee to 90m!

We have apparently agreed £35m with the team in China, so I agree that £45m will not come from anywhere. But i can see us accepting £30m plus for him, which will not be out of reach for a number of clubs.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see an entire striker clearout. Carroll will leave for nothing and Arnie, Chicha and Perez are, effectively, depreciating assets at their respective ages. If he keeps fit, Arnie has 2 or 3 years left at the top, so he still has pretty good value. How attractive a proposition he is for a club elsewhere depends on how he performs for the rest of this season, so the incentive is there for him to do his best. However, bearing in mind his recent new, better deal with us, with the exception of China, who could afford his wages or offer him enough to make him want to leave?

Others will be sold as mentioned above.

For me, I would like to see an entire new strike force, but when Arnie scores a hat-trick next game, I’ll reconsider!
