Interesting little development WH have had meeting with Brother of Arnautovic, and have told him if he wants to arrange a pre contract agreement for Arnie elsewhere Including the UK they say no problem he is free to do so, WH are willing to accept an offer of. 35m ( which is fractionally less ) than they were offered in January NOW this is laying down the law big time, plenty of fish in the sea say WH Brother in shock, bluff called , WH now trying to push the player out. IRONMIKE.

Mike, that’s great news for me, get rid of him! I was a massive Arnie fan when he had settled down after he was moved up front by D, Moyes, for one reason or another he is a major irritant and possibly disruptive influence within the club now, when he has played recently he has been almost anonymous with a “cannot be bothered” attitude! We are safe now within reason, give others a chance that are prepared to at least put effort in, we have virtually nobody of any quality that we can call a goal scorer up front anyway, Hernandez, rubbish, Carroll, well no comment, so we have nothing to lose! We did well enough without him when he sulking for a 4 week period when we scored 12 goals in 4 games!

I am still an Arnie fan. Last season, as you say Chelmsford, under Moyes he was basically responsible for getting us out of the relegation places with the goals he scored.

This season not so good and when he was injured we went on a winning streak when he was injured. Now the attitude is all wrong so he needs confidence and a bit of clever player management from the coaches ala Moyes it's all about Motivation and he needs some.

Mike I don't get your latest post on WH stance on Arnie, on 3 points

Firstly if they are willing to accept a little bit under what was offered why didn't they just sell him in Jan?

Secondly why on earth let the brother know what they would accept in money wise?, if he came back and bangs in the goals some team somewhere may offer more than the £35m

Thirdly, why tell the brother now?, Arnie can throw more toys out the pram than Hamelys in London, surely if he knows we don't want him he will sulk and not give his best especially if we gave him an improved contract in Jan, and going back to my first point why did they not just get rid?

Sorry I may be missing something but I just don't get it.

Firstly it’s clear WH now think they should have taken the money in January, it was the thought THEN, that they don’t want to lose a top player halfway through the season Ok , BUT they have now taken the stance, that they can buy elsewhere, which they can, and Arnie is now going through the motions looking disinterested, what do we need that behaviour for. ? With the season, at the 12 game stage, we need perhaps 6 points to secure safety, we don't look likely to do much in the upward direction, so it’s avery good time. To start weighing things up for the future, where we will have a bus load leaving for one reason or another shortly, it’s going to be busy busy. IRONMIKE.

The difference between January and the summer is that we weren't able to secure a replacement in January.

Also prices are always inflated in January (for the reason above) so would Arnie's price have been.

Looks like they are going to try and get the summer business done early if they can and need to have a plan in place.

For me, MP’s take must be that he no longer wants Arnie. The disruption caused over the winter window will have irritated him and that was all down to brothers Arnautovic.

The squad was unsettled and results suffered.

As we had no success in acquiring a top replacement, I can fully understand the club’s refusal to let him go.

In order to be able to move on somewhere for a better payday, Arnie will need to up his game and make himself an attractive proposition, whether that’s for China, or elsewhere.

Perez is done, Chicha wants to move and Carroll has no hope of another contract.

MP will have the interesting and exciting task of completely revamping the tip of our strike force.

I am still looking forward to the rest of this season, especially with Manu’s return and others returning from injury, but I can see next season as being a real breakthrough one.

Ever the optimist. 😏.

The Chinese window is still open so theoretically could still sell him and get more now than they would at the end of the season. So if MO and the club really feel his disruptive influence outweighs the need for a striker till the end of the season they could still sell him. So not sure how much of this is true and how much is speculation.

No it’s not speculation, yes he can be off now, eastbound, BUT can’t be replaced, so it’s pointless, considering, the other options up front, that’s why he’s still with us morelike IRONMIKE.

Well if true sounds like really poor player management. If he is so disruptive let him go now. If he isn’t and you want him to put in effort till the end of the season then talk to the player about helping him achieve his ambitions with a move at the end of the season if he commits himself now. To go to his brother and say what has been suggested means you keep him around, make him more likely to continue being sullen and stroppy, and achieve nothing. Great plan.
