to be honest at 29/ 30 yrs old 50m is a lot of money to turn down.

No chance he will go to Everton. If he moves it will be for a regular Champs league team, otherwise what is the point. £50m is a LOT for a player who has never scored more than 14 goals in a season, which was at FC Twente 10 years ago!
Granted, his switch to CF has dramatically improved his goals per game, which if he continues at current rate he will get over 20 for us this season. HOWEVER he still has to prove that he can do it over a whole season, which is why i think it is a risk for any potential buyer at this time, but if a desperate top team comes in then he may take it as his last chance to play in the Champs League, rather than staying and becoming a LEGEND at West Ham.
They key question for us fans is do we trust MP and Husillos to use the money to replace him effectively. My personal feeling is YES, as their recruitment so far has been decent considering they have had to do a LOT. Injuries aside the only poor acquisition so far has been Perez, and he was only ever a cheap backup option.
Can we REALLY get £50m for Marko tho, which is what we would need to replace him, so that is what he is worth to us!

Put him on 150k a week on 2 year deal . He is worth keeping and should match Anderson and hernandes.

to be fair he should really be on the same wages as Anderson and Chica after all we are not the same team without him something that can´t really be said about the other 2!

I agree and disagree Irontodd and Costa.
At the end of the day Arnie has only had one full season for us and managed 11 goals. What Anderson achieved at Lazio was already better than that which is what warranted his higher wage. Hernandez had scored 26 goals for Leverkusen (twice that of Arnie's BEST ever season) followed by 13 in an injury hit season, and his consitent history got him the salary he is on (although we all admit it has not worked out at WHU and his value for money so far is not there)
If Arnie wants that salary level then he needs to PROVE he is worth it over a full season. His demands are very much based on the NOW rather than "look what i have consistently done over a full season". I agree he is vital to our form CURRENTLY, but half a seasons form will never convince a board to dramatically increase a salary. If he continues like this to end of season then I agree the board would have no option but to increase.
Look at Lanzini, he is still on a tiny wage in comparison yet we all know his worth. Were it not for his injury he would be getting a new contract, but he had to prove it over years, not 20 games.

Nick, we live in the football world of statistics which is ok if the stats of whoever they may apply to are playing in the Premiership! Hernandez is a complete and utter disgrace imo! Anderson we have yet to see the best of hopefully, but for £40m, I hope so, yes good stats for Lazio, but again that’s not the Premiership, my first thought was, if he’s that good why wasn’t others in the Premiership prepared to pay £40m!
Wilshere, well it was inevitable how he was going to turn out, was I the only one to foresee it? Utter disgrace giving him a 3 year contract and yet letting a future possible star in Rice stay in limbo about his future with us which he has proven brilliantly that he can cope at the top level in the Premiership! and we should also award Diangana a massive rise to keep him! Yes we have made several very good signings in Diop, Balbuena and especially Fabianski, Yarmelenko has been unfortunate, so we have to wait and see on him? I honestly believe that get out clauses should be inserted in contracts when over a certain wage is being paid that the contract can be terminated after say a year, if they don’t like it, don’t sign them! It is sucking the finances of clubs. Lanzini should have been tied up with a large increase long before his injury, yet another comparison of a proven Premiership player that has been overlooked on wages by has beens or never have beens!
