Seen an article quoting redknapp saying man city should sign Rice. Why are we taking so long to get his contract sorted. Imagine if we lost him for a pittance or nothing at all.

He's the future of the club get it done this has to be our priority, it would be a huge blunder if we lost him.

This is getting ridiculous now, all the fans were against the board, so they wised up, brought in a good manager and spent a bit a money to get us on side, we have all sat and watched rice develop, watched him shine, and now we are sitting watching the vultures circle because our board have gone back over again because they have paid stupid wages to others, so we will all sit here now powerless to what is happening, wishing that they would just give the kid a good deal and tie him down. I for one will so peeeeed off if we lose him and I think that will be me done, it will be heartbreaking to see the be taken away from us to rot in a so called bigger clubs reserves or bench, because that is what will happen, even though he is far to good for that. Please WH board do the right thing, these kids are the future, u wanted another MR WESTHAM well their he is bold as brass, make this happen for him and for us.

Whitby, yes we would all agree with that regarding Rice, also the same applies to our other young rising star Diangana, what another wonderful talent⚒ If you are good enough, you are young or old enough, regardless of age you should be paid your value regardless, Premiership standard players are valuable commodities, we all know they are vastly overpaid, but that is how it is! We all know setting precedence can be dangerous regarding wage structure, but also seeing great talent being washed away by a club can also influence other young rising up and coming talent! We have been prepared to pay stupid, stupid money to JW and JH, AC and several others who I foresee doing nothing for our club and are living off long faded talent, so let’s tie them down before as Whitby says before the usual money “ Vultures” start to circle and we lose them!

I've also seen an article saying a swap could be on the cards involving Wanyama, I bloody hope not.

Iron. AI, Harry Redknapp wants to cause trouble with WH making comments like that imo! He was touting for the WH job when Moyes wasn’t given a new contract by saying “he thinks he can still do a good job” or words of that sort, so he’s now making snide comments for being scorned, when you are past your sell by date with Harry, that’s it!

It was Jamie, Chelmsford. Sorry should have specified.

We shouldn't deal with spurs at all that's simple, and offering wanyama as a swap that's a blatant kick in the teeth, however I think that's the papers putting 2+2 together and getting 5 just for a story.

Rice isn't going no where, it's just contract negotiations, we wouldn't let this get to the point where he can leave, it will all sort it self out in the end and he will sign a new deal, he is west ham through and through that's the reason the board have offered so little. If it was bothering him that much he's performance would drop and it hasn't. Theirs no rush atm just be patient people.

Danny, that’s a very reassuring post, but as we know in life, people fall in and out of love with different things for differing reasons, I don’t think they should assume he so loves the club he would never leave, how many couples in life do we all know that have split up, that’s the best example I can use, get the job done, in life never assume!,
But I hope you are right, good reas#uring positive comment👍👍⚒⚒⚒⚒.

Another could well step in with a better offer and the chance of CL football.

Bkk, exactly, you can never say, never, about most things that can’t be changed, but minds and attitudes can change like traffic lights if you are influenced! You can never discount injuries either, serious or otherwise, so I would advise him if he were my grandson, that life doesn’t always run smoothly, but being happy at a club is major, but we should still push the boat out for him! If Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea, came sniffing, he wouldn’t even need to uproot and move!

I have read that it might be a FFP issue and that we will sort out a mutually agreeable contract for Rice once we’ve shipped one or two (or three or four) out in the Jan window.

Get rid of Carroll and give Rice Carrolls wages, and the captains armband, job done.
