OK a bit of digging about has revealed that Bernard STRANGELY had received a better offer from WH four weeks back than he has received from either Milan or Chelsea! ALthough I'm finding this hard to believe looks like there's truth in it Our offer at that time was around 85k a week PLUS SOF. 6 m four year deal wether or not that offer still stands I'm not sure BUT it does look like WH are trying to Juggle him in and if so something else has got to give way, with the players we are looking at so we can expect chop and. Change with targets now The OBLIGATION withJoao Mario to buy at end of loan will put an end to that unless Inter change there minds IRONMIKE.

Im not sure how Milan could realistically put in an obligation to buy, 2 years is a long time in football and how would they decide on the obligation to buy price now?, it works both ways if taking up such a deal, he could be Carroll 2 and we would need to buy after 2 years for a injured croc, or he could be a world beater and his value could soar and they would lose millions especially if the prices of players keeps going up. Have you heard of that before Mike an obligation to buy after a 2 year loan?

The more I think about it, if we do sign Bernard, we do not need to pursue an out and out striker any more. With Arnie as our CF, backed up by Chich and Martinez; to then have Yarmolenko, Anderson and Bernard as attacking threats is plenty.

Bernard in for the deal as outlined above and Sturaro on loan as DM (if we have run out of cash/ salary for Maia), would do it for me.

James Rodriguez madrid to bayern is a 2 year loan deal.

IMO if BERNARD was going to sign for us he would have by now we should change our transfer stance on players by telling them you either take our offer no negotiations that's the offer you have 7 days otherwise the deals off simple as that not letting him wait to see if other "so called bigger clubs come in for bernard" as then we are fourth or fifth choice and that cannot be right because they are simply 1 after more money and 2 they are controlling things not on for me wouldn't touch him now. Whorya - if he signed, we would immediately have an asset worth at least what we paid for Anderson. It is still worth staying in the game for him.

Hi marko your missing the point i know we could make money but i don't want players at west ham who don't want to be there as he could upset the aoplecart and other players will be saying he's on 100,000 a week and don't care.

i wouldn't touch him now we've offered him a deal if he was interested like ANDERSON he would jump at the chance but is clearly only in for what he can get and thoose players who want more than they are worth really upset me so steer well clear imo he's made it very clear he's only interested in money i get you get the best deal you can but he's bartering with bigger clubs different if he said i want to come to WHUFC but i want x amount but he's not so tell him to jog on we ain't desperate for BERNARD because he ain't desperate for WHUFC. COYI.

Thanks for your response, Whorya, but I’m not convinced. I think it’s not the best strategy to turn down quality footballers, just because they are keen to play for sides with “big” names. Bernard has been in Ukraine for the past five years and he would have heard of Chelsea’s successes during that time.

If he followed the Prem last year, he would have seen our relegation struggles. On top of that he will have agents bending his ear so that they can make their cut. All of this £200k a week nonsense would have been agent generated. The higher profile their player, the more they’re likely to make in the long run.

TBH, I didn’t know much about him until the rumours earlier in the window that we were being linked with him. I’ve no idea whether he’s an arrogant so and so, or a young bloke (25) listening too hard to his advisors. I do know, though that he is more highly rated in Brazil than Anderson. The lad can play. For me, it would be great if it were to be for us.

If Messi were to go for City over us, then turn to us when the City deal fell through, would you turn him away?
Just sayin’.

Hiya markro not trying to be argumentative mate but ill have to correct you there mate ANDERSON was called NEYMARS brother in brazil and was expected to be as good as NEYMAR but he hit a bit of a lole in form and fitness he put on a lot of weight when he pickex up an injury then in 6 games for lazio he scored 5 with 5 assists which prompted a bit of interest from CHELSEA AND MANCHESTER UNITED for €50-60 million which never materialised for one reason or another but he's always been extremely highly rated certainly as high as BERNARD whos stock is in decline as SHAKTAR didn't fight hard to keep him as he's apparently a bit of a boy not my words. COYI.

. we’ll have to agree to disagree then. Bernard would have been at the World Cup with Brazil had he not picked up a shoulder injury. He has 15 caps, Anderson has one and was fit, but not selected for the WC.
I’m fully aware of the Neymar little brother handle, but the Brazilian management was/ is concerned about his “inconsistency. ”
For me they are both outstanding talents and it would be fantastic to see them play for us in the same side.
I think where we differ in opinion is that your point is you don’t want to know about a player who doesn’t make us his first choice, whereas I’m not as concerned about that.
Ah, well. I hope we do start we both and they’re both fantastic.
