Hi all sometime ago a poster on this site claimed he knew Moussa Marega personally would you please make yourself known as I understand we are now actually negotiating and it's likely that Husillos may travel to Porto this week armed with cash and Kouyate ( not the player himself ) to try to make the deal happen IRONMIKE.

Thanks Mike - hopefully we can wrap this one up quickly and get him training. One of Arnie, little pea and Marega will have to accept that they will be a squad player. Arnie is number 1 - his form is getting better and better, and Little pea is on 140k. surely he’ll be used as well? Marega would therefore be a squad player?

Any news of a defensive midfielder - seems odd to offer a CDM and cash for a forward when we’re already short in the CDM department. Unless we can swap Carroll for a midfielder somewhere?

Reckon Pellegrini is set on Rice covering one of the DM positions instead of playing CB. Rice had a tweet about how he was enjoying playing in midfield. Maybe he’s been told that’s where he’s playing.

Maybe one more in, a loan? To release Obiang? Or maybe
No one to lower the wage spend and stay within FFP.

I said a while back i could see being moved the dm role although he played well at cb ithought he would more comfortable sitting in front of the back 4.

I guess that’s also what he’s doing internationally too. After the window closes, surely priority is to get him sorted with a new contract.

IMO still think Rice is a CM and should be played as so as he is better in that position - hate it when managers play players out of position - the rice to DM Ariel isn’t as bad as Antonio at right back or right wing back but still .

On the conversation of DM’s - drinkwater and Barkley have been mentioned as surplus at chelski what about one
Georginio Gregion Emile Wijnaldum as surely he will struggle to get a game at Liverpool

One other thought, how good is this Marega - have we not looked at Sturridge - surely he has something to prove this season as we all know that Carroll will be injured again falling out of his rangie or running over himself like Brian Harvey of East 17! 🤣😎⚒.

Sorry but cut your loses and pay Carroll off, it would be cheaper in the long run. i like Sturidge but its a gamble do we need another Carroll.
We have a a gt squad now let's hope they gel. One person needed to play in front of the back four and another forward would be idealbut i'm sure Pelle has that in mind.
Cant wait for the new season to start and 3 points at the pool would be a great way to start.
Ps. If Karon Brady can get a CBE why not Ironmike for services to WH surporters.

Based on his performances for Stoke last season, I'd have thought Zouma would be the best CB in the club if he signed. Proven at this level which is more than can be said of Diop or Balbuena.
