Ironmike are we looking at a left back? Masuaku is a winger now and Cresswell has detoriarated. Also both players cannot defend?

The funny thing is I was just thinking about the same thing! its hard to know what the thinking is but as you say we have the problem on both sides with Felipe and Fredericks flying forward on the right Yarmolenko and one of two doing same on left where are the defenders? problem is we are thinking pro rata. This is why i said a cheeky loan bid for shaw not only was cresswell defending/ postitioing poor last season his crossing and corners were real poor. he needs so competition for his place . if another cb is brought in that wiuld be 4 cb not including rice although he had a great season i think rice would do really well sitting in front of the back four. i'd keep obiang fernandez and rice also oxford if mp feel he is ready sell noble koyate and either loan or sell byram use that money to fund another cdm.

The problem was last season we were giveing the ball away too often and only Am could hold the ball up With our attacking formation now it should take a lot off our back line which was lacking in the past. Attack as we all know is the best means of defence. Oh Mike sorry i forgot to say your info has been spot on, keep it up.

Spot on john that was one our biggest problems we lose the ball then get caught out on the counter noble to slow to get back and if he get back he would give away foul near. the box. cresswell n zabs were playing wing backs zabs even said found difficult getting up down the wings. when musuka got his 6 match ban we didn't win a game,

Agreed also noble just isn't up to the speed of the premier league anymore and with kouyate bombing forward when obiang was injured it really shone through how missed he was obiang is good enough just to sit whereas kouyate just has not got the professionalism to sit without going on crazy runs and him and nobke should be talking about who goes and who sits that's the reason we were caught out so many times and leaving the back three or four wide open while kouyate has the engine and noble hasn't the pair ain't good enough and is it me or is it a coincidence that we very rarely get other clubs bidding for our players and we could struggle to sell these types of players.
