Is there any news on Caroll Mike?,

Maybe the outgoings are not going to be as many under MP than DM, , I would be interested to know who DM wanted out?, and those players who may stay to see how they perform under MP and his system,

If as commented Moyes had the chance to sign the contract and he dithered I think he may be crying into his single malt as his game plan never worked out, still there is room for another Red Adere Big Sam type, no doubt Moyes will become an emergency manager come November, December,

If we had bid the £44M that Lazio want and then been turned down I'd probably believe that we actually do have serious interest in him. But this is just Sully banging in a bid for the cameras that he knows will be rejected.

Are we just looking at targets that are well out of our league and potentially end up with nothing again. Surely business is going to be dreadful after worldcup inflation with players performance wise will hike?

Some may disagree but why don’t we sell Arnie and a few others. Then re invest in youth. Look to build a team that can compete in 5 years time. Look at what spurs did after they sold bale. Obviously Arnie isn’t on that level but we could have 120-150 mil to invest in players. If we could get martial or rashford off Man U as part of a deal then I think we’d be better off moving forward. Players like pastore are past their best. We should be looking towards players who are relatively unknown to take us to the next level.

Kaneob18, I actually wouldn't mind doing just that, however I think selling all of our experience and buying just youth would pose a bit of a risk in the short term. I think we'd be better off buying a couple of experienced players as well.

Sell the likes of:
Reece Oxford £10m - assuming he wants to leave
Aaron Cresswell £15m
Sam Byram £4m
Cheikhou Kouyaté £12m
Pedro Obiang £15m
Michail Antonio £22m
Robert Snodgrass £8m
Andy Carroll £8m
Javier Hernández £14m
Jordan Hugill £5m

add the £70m we are being told Manuel Pellegrini has to play with and you've got a sizeable budget of £183 million to spend.

Reinvest in players with Premier League experience with the odd foreign investment and I think we could have a very strong side next season.

Buy players like:
Jack Butland £25m
James Tarkowski £18m
Kurt Zouma £2m - Loan fee with option to buy at season' end
Lucas Digne £15m
Ryan Fredericks Free agent
Jack Wilshere Free agent
Ross Barkley £20m
Ruben Loftus-Cheek £25m
Joao Mario £4m - Loan fee with option to buy at season' end
Kenedy £15m
Xherdan Shaqiri £16m
Tammy Abraham £12m

Thats an outlay of £151 million, add to that the agent fees and signing on bonuses (not sure how much more that would be. )

Why sell out best players and risk going down? Teams that sell their best players and can't replace always go down quickly, look what just happened to Stoke. Even if by some miracle we did manage to sign martial or even Rashford they surely wouldn't be here in 5 years time. Arni is at his peak potential right now, why sell him? Instead build around a core of our strongest players with youth and players ready to take a step up with a little bit of older players with experience to guide the youngsters.

Yes it’s just finding that balance but think we should be looking for the next dele alli, John stones etc. Keeping the right players around like zabaleta and maybe bring in yaya toure. Just seems a bit all over the place these last few years but maybe times will change this year haha.

hiya die 4 wh i like your players to buy buthe kennedy is very highly regarded by chelsea and he's a £40-50 million player and the same applys to both loftus-cheek and abrahams i'm not saying i agree with that but all three have the ability to become world class players and i'd like any one of those the only one i'd disagree with is barkley but great shout i would try for drinkwater and shaw as both are getable i'd keep chiquarito as he's top draw in the box and i don't think we've used him in the right formation as he's been asked to play a no 9 role which he ain't he's a poacher and a lethal finisher. coyi.

Interesting post about who to sell but I don’t fancy your lots of players much.

Jack Butland £25m not much better than Adrian and not worth forking out 25m for if he’s going to be second keeper and if we make Adrian 2nd keeper we will end up having to buy two keepers. I think any keeper we buy is only as good as his defence
James Tarkowski £18m good choice but we won’t grt him for less than £25
Kurt Zouma £2m - Loan fee with option to buy at season' end good choice
Lucas Digne £15m not my cup of tea
Ryan Fredericks Free agent agreed
Jack Wilshere Free agent too injury prone and I have had enough of that. Is he any better than Mario?
Ross Barkley £20m no thanks.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek £25m overrated ( my opinion) . I would rather bring in Grealish
Joao Mario £4m - Loan fee with option to buy at season' end my view is we buy him now.
Kenedy £15m
Xherdan Shaqiri £16m no thanks. Not for me.
Tammy Abraham £12m a massive no! Greedy and elvish on the ball and never shaped for Swansea last season in my opinion.

Diggidydee . 110% correct mate. People looking to cash in on Arnie are making a mistake. You could say we cashed in on Payet and how did that help us.
Only players I would sell are Carroll, Kouyaté ( which is a shame because he can be great on his day), Byram, Reece Oxford, Snodgrass and MAYBE Obiang.
We should recoup about £40m with that lot and then DGS can then go and get that money they hid in their mattress from selling Ayew, Ferghouli, Nordveidt, Fonte, and Payet which in my calculation should be another £40m and invest at least £75m from this years takings. That’s £155m without getting rid of best players. From that money invest in two centre halves, a right back, a left back and two midfielders ( one AM and one DM) . That’s about £25m a player. Tough I know but two centre halves and a right back and an AM should be priority. If we could get just those 4 we would have around £40m a player. That’s not going to take us into top 6 but will certainly improve side in order to get us top 10 and we can build on that next year.

I think we should sell Arnie and go for Adebayo Akinfenwa of Wycombe. 17 goals 12 assists last season I know his getting on but think he can do a job. plus I need a new house

J Sullivan.

Hiya IRON A1 we agree to disagree because I think in today's market he's worth that he's 21 and has loads of talent and promise and not being disrespectful as its all about opinion mate and have you seen him play he's very raw and needs to improve his all round game and end product but him or BARKLEY and KENNEDY is a better prospect and player out of the three Chelsea players I mentioned I'd say ABRAHAM is the less value of them three and if BAKAYOKO is worth £56 MILL then KENNEDY is worth 40 mill I know you shouldn't work on those basics but I'm just trying to make me sound viable u can't blame me for trying but like I said agree to disagree mate. COYI.

16.) 05 Jun 2018
05 Jun 2018 20:23:39
potentially 40-50m but I think he's got a long way to go. from the chelsea players that might be available I'd like us to go for Zouma still young, fast and strong and a very good defender in my opinion.

definitely agree with that mate i'm not sure where he is on chelsea radar but he did play quite a bit before he got that bad injury so it's guess work regarding zuma but i'd buy him. coyi.
