I wish our board would take a risk and sign Dendocker, even if he flopped he is young enough that I doubt we would not be able to sell him to another team to recoup some of the money back, surely it has to be worth a punt.

It doesn't sound like it anymore. Interest appears to have cooled on this one. Interest in Slimani but Leicester only want to sell for £30m. Andre Ayew looks set to go to Swansea. Amadou loan bid gone in. Clement Grenier staying in France. No word on Dendoncker but Watford are front runners. Schurrle and Sturridge to WBA so not clear what's happening yet with us.

I also really hope we get Andre Schurrle, it will be another terrible window if we just sit twiddling our thumbs while all or rivals strengthen around us, if West Brom manage to get Schurrle that's a huge coup for them and a massive mistake by us.

Another one time target Badou Ndiaye having medical at Stoke. Islam Slimani picked up a thigh injury in training earlier this week, and that may affect his chances of leaving Leicester today on loan.

It’s thought Leicester are prepared to let him leave, but they would prefer a permanent deal, rather than a loan.


Slimani‘s injury is likely to keep him out of action for up to two weeks. We have been told that West Ham are still interested.
