David Moyes is in like it or not, yes I can understand all the negativity concerning this appointment, and for me personally it not the right appointment. as it strikes desperation, it comes across as Moyes was the only choice who would not rock the boat accept the 6 month contract no questions asked and probably cheap. Its not ideal but there we have it

All fans have opinions some are more liberal some are just plain negative, football does that within a club and its healthy and interesting to try and understand why someone would have different views from oneself, but at the end of the day we ALL have have one thing in common, WE WANT OUR CLUB TO DO WELL, that's the bottom line.

What we can not afford to do in this situation is to become a Arsenal, where fans are literally at each other throats over the Manager.

All the doubters with Moyes need to push this aside, all the proposed protests, all the negativity in and out of the stadium WILL have an affect on the club, and the new Manager, which will filter down to the team

I know his job in Spain went badly as did the Sunderland job, but at least give the guy a chance, his here and there is nothing we can do about it, get behind him make him feel welcome, let's not make this any harder than it already is for him. as he tries to install some spirit and belief into the players.

Let him concentrate on the football side of things, without having to worry about the reception from the fans.

At least give him a chance to show what he can do before writing him off from the start

Cheers.

Well said WS, could not have put it better myself. I agree with everything you say, it is common sense and is what is best for the team and the performances to do what we do best . support our team!

agreed!

Moving to coach a team abroad is always tough for a British manager and it would seem that from their performances this season in the championship that Sunderland are just a rubbish group of players that never had the drive, maybe we are looking at Moyes in a bad light and he deserves another chance. hope I don't look back on this in regret! COYI.

gold has already come out and said there won't be a lot of money in january when sullivan had previously said a few weeks ago there will be plenty of money available in the next transfer window after the figures of net spend of under 10 million in last transfer window somebodys telling porkys this is the problem with our football club the chuckle brothers and bradys bunch the quicker they are gone the better but unfortunately you don't get in life what you want . coyi.

Agreed and it's about time we make judgements on performances. Bilic and allardyce had plenty of chances to show what they can do so let's give moyes chances to show what he can do. Let's back his decisions whether we like it or not and if things go well the selection will be justified. Let's hope the players respond just as well and if not I hope he gets rid of the unwanted trouble makers.

Doesn't surprise me Gkg, but why spend if survival is main focus, we have enough to stay up in the squad, think they will wait until end of season choose a manager if not Moyes and invest with the manager before season starts . No doubt holding back a few quid for gimp masks in bulk.

Hi WS, he's going to have as much space as he likes. After that, when he's taken us into the Championship, he can't say the fans held him back (not sure exactly how they do that, but never mind) .

One of the worst managerial appointments ever, next level, Champions League, the Top 6 looking over their shoulder, come on Sully, we weren't born yesterday.

Brooking, as mentioned appointment was disappointing but let's see, if we go down it will not only be Moyes to blame but the players, but that's not going to happen, . relax we will be fine, if it does goes wrong I have already been practicing

Moyes Out Moyes Out, Sack the Board, Gimp Suits Half Price,

Lol just jesting, give the bloke a chance honestly he may surprise you.

Some people on here are a joke! Get behind him? Really can someone tell me what his last say 60 games of managerial football went in terms of wins losses etc? Fed up massively and stop saying he was ok at Everton. I used to be a good tennis player 20 years ago but I’m rubbish now!

I wanna know where is the money board?

My 4 yr old said to me daddy who the new manager why did they get him does he win? We answer that board how do I tell my son an answer. Does he win dad? No son he doesn’t? Well why did they get him? No idea son because our club is run by muppets people that don’t care. lsuccesful in business yes that’s a given liked by any fan and I mean any fan a real fan? No no no

Sullivan your sons a muppet and your jacket is so shite it’s a joke. millions in the bank mate and I have nothing but tell ya what more people like me than you. fact!

Got a new stadium fine move on please sell to a Man City typ investor and clear off! It’s clear from every player and managerial appointment and dealing no one wants to do dealings with you ever! Which is why we are left with all the crap!

Can you imagine the Man City reps behaving like us?

Lol lol lol already seen a player in the press talking about moving in January to us lol lol just keep quiet and try and be classy! Impossible

Furious fan who’s son has cried and I ain’t having it anymore! A real fan is someone who’s weekend is ruined if we lose! Blood in sleeve stuff! My weekends ruined 10 mins after kick off every week in and out!

Disgrace total disgrace.

Hi skystar if we don't get behind then I'm afraid we will be in the championship think he was treated harshly at UNITED anybody following Ferguson was on a hiding to nothing and he should never have taken the Sunderland job as they were nothing short of a pub team and I think we could have done better but we could have done a lot worse there's only one man I'd like and that's EDDIE HOWE TACTICAL GENIUS and tas for the board if they s till own the club in a years time I'd be suprised hopefully the yanks who own a 10% stake in the club try and buy the club 100% happy days.
