Hi Phil have you right on many of your points be very interesting to see the line up and subs for tonight seems the way bilic is talking that he wants to see some of the youngsters out there.
On another issue see that Carroll is apparently out until end of October according to reports, ( maybe for that read New Year! ) fantastic! Gets better doesn't it, feel sorry for the Guy but how long realistically can we afford to keep paying his wages to have him in the treatment room, what's people's views on this, also read reports saying Payet wanted summer move but Club blocked it, makes you wonder if this is true was it to do with fearing fans backlash ahead of the Stadium move, will Payet really have his heart in it when we need to roll up our sleeves for a battle.
Views anyone!

Hi GroutyHamnmer,

A lot of fans have asked the same question about Payet and rolling his sleeves up and getting stuck in when we need it most. This has met with mixed reactions and I suppose only time will tell! I also fear that if the Madrid sides really go after Payet in January he will leave. I'd be very interested to see what his value is at that time in a failing West Ham side and what is done with the money to get a replacement (of course, to us, he can't be replaced) .
As for AC, I think his time is over with us. Its just not tenable to keep a player on £90k a week that's constantly going to be injured.
I am looking forward to seeing Edmilson Fernandes play tonight who is a box to box attacking midfielder with bags of energy. I'd also like to see the defence given a complete revamp tonight and that starts with Adrian who has lost all confidence and has been responsible for much of the goals conceded. Yes, Collins had a mix up with him against Watford but he should have called.
Time for a shake up before its too late. Matsuaku could do with a rest and bring one of the youngsters in.

Real Madrid won't be signing Payet in the January transfer window. That is a fact. They're under a transfer embargo and can't make any signing ma.

That's good to hear, but we still got Atletico and PSG to fob off.

Personally I wouldn't mind selling him if a decent offer came in (£40+ million) . He is 29 years old, and for £40 million we could easily buy a couple of decent players that would help improve our starting 11 and squad.

In fact, if PSG want Payet I'd insist on having Adrien Rabiot as part of any deal. Inclusive of cash.

Will the owners have the balls to demand this and keep Payet to his contract? Who knows? But if the player wants to leave, get the best deal you can.

At 29 I agree that an offer of 40 million plus should be considered, I think having both him and Lanzini in the same team is too much of a luxury, and I also think Lanzini would thrive on the creative responsibility he would have. Feghouli will prove a shrewd buy too.

I'd keep payet we won't get a player anywhere near as good and I wouldn't trust them on who they spent the money on after the garbage summer signings anyway.

Agree with you REDROBBO2. Sulli will spot some dodgy South American nobody has heard of and declare he is the next messi!
I would rather have Payet, BUT, if the team with a big bid does come calling, we may be foolish to turn it down, especially as he is 29! That could then be invested in DEFENDERS first and foremost and a direct replacement!

i think he would still put in a shift, even if nothing else to show last seaosn was not a one to other big clubs. if he wanted a move and we said no, he could have gone to the press and forced it or at least made some noise. but he seemed to accept it. I could be wrong, but trying to be a bit positive, as we all need it right now.
