Edimilson Fernandes on his way to West Ham for a medical. Fee of around £5.2m for midfielder agreed with FC Sion! Anyone see this one coming?

SLAVEN Bilic has said that BONY is "AN OPTION WE ARE WORKING ON" but a player that would be ideal for us. In all honesty, I would be happy if we shredded VALENCIA, CARROLL AND SAKHO and went through the season with Calleri, Fletcher and BONY. These 3 would get more goals than our current attacking options.

I agree Phil. I feel Carroll is just too prone to injuries and is not a top goal scorer. Not a bad sub when we are 0-0. But his wages are just ridiculous. I rate fletcher so highly.

Fernandes signing will pave the way for Samuelson to go on Loan to the Championship, several clubs have been in contact this past few days with proposals, he will decide by Friday where he wants to go. Similar with the striker situation; if we get one or 2 in it is likely to give Fletcher the go ahead to move to the championship on loan, again several proposals already on the table.

This Fernandes deal may also signal the go ahead of the Obiang deal back to Serie A. He came to Bilic after the Bournmouth game stating he wanted to go back to Italy for Family Reasons as well has more first team footy. Should make back the money we're spending on Fernandes aswell.

I'm backing Bony to be exceptional for West Ham if he signs. Whilst his appearances to goals ratio isn't spectacular, he has still scored 10 in 20 starts for City. Given a good run in the team, week after week, I think you probably have your answer.

Is this Fernandes signing really the signing we need though? Ok he is young, probably would be happy with a place on the bench when everyone is fit, but we need a forward and more defenders. Any developments on those fronts?

Is the Fernandes purchase signalling the end for one of our existing players? Perhaps Valencia?

Fernandes won't be a Valencia replacement. More than likely going to signal the Permanent sale of Obiang who wants to return to Italy and will potentially see us loan out samuelson to the Championship as Bilic planned to do at the start of the Window. Unfortunately unless we sign 2 forwards with our current injuries I see Valencia staying with us until the January Window where we may look to ship him out again.
