Seeing as the window has just closed and of course with that the rumours have slowed down. How a bit of friday fun for all you hammers

I think its pretty widely accepted dgs want to sign a marquee type striker in the summer and we all have our thoughts on that so don't weant to cover that here but how about players we haven't really thought about micah richards after the way he played tuesaday night as a more experienced alternative to sam byram? or maybe a back for kouyate who if he gets injured would leave a big hole in the midfield i'd reakon

my question really is who would be a suprise signing you'd make to enhance our squad?

Ok, as this is fantasy. How about Philip Lahm. If Bayern are willing to let schweinsteiger go to united how about Lahm to us. Great leader that can play left or right back and in midfield comfortably, getting on a bit so reckon Bayern would let him go at the right price :-)

WHat about Ron Vlaar would be great at CB.

Realsitically we could look at the bottom clubs to see what pickings could be had in the summer.

Ok, I am going to give a rather large list of targets in this post. With a bit of luck the Ed's will accept it and post it. For what it is worth, I with my list of players I am trying to stick to "realistic" signings with the odd "optimistic" signing chucked in.

Firstly, there are a few players that have expiring contracts in the Summer that I'd like us to go for.

Alisson - Goalkeeper currently playing for Internacional in Brazil. He WILL be the next Brazilian No. 1 - he has a lot of potential and in my opinion would be a superb addition to the ranks. e'd certainly push Adrian for a starting place.

Joel Matip - Centre Back currently playing for Schalke. Rumoured to be off to Liverpool though.

Nicolas N'Koulou - Centre Back currently playing for Marseille.

Ever Banega - Central Midfielder currently playing for Sevilla.

Sofiane Feghouli - Winger currently playing for Valencia. Apparently has been watched by the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea.

Andrija Zivkovic - Winger currently playing for Partizan Belgrade. Apparently attracting the interest of all the European Big Clubs.

Now, following on from Phil1016 and looking at the relegated clubs from the Premier League. For the purpose of this list, I am assuming that the three teams that get relegated are currently in the bottom 5 places (Swansea, Norwich, Newcastle, Sunderland and Aston Villa). These are the players I'd look at if their team gets relegated.

Swansea
Sung-Yong Ki - solid central midfielder, would be a decent signing
Gylfi Sigurdsson - would be a decent signing but not sure he'd be interested in playing second fiddle to Payet in the "behind the striker" position
Andre Ayew - I'd like to have signed him from Marseille, formed a decent partnership with Payet in France and has been a Swansea' best player this season.

Norwich
Nathan Redmond - would be a decent addition to the midfield, but wouldn't be my first target in this position

Newcastle
Chancel Mbemba - still young, and working under Bilic I think would bring him on leaps and bounds
Daryl Janmaat - one of Newcastle' better players. Not sure we'd need him though now we have signed Byram
Moussa Sissoko - would be a decent addition to the midfield, but wouldn't be my first target in this position
Georginio Wijnaldum - would be a decent addition to the midfield, but wouldn't be my first target in this position
Andros Townsend - I'd like to have signed him from Tottenham, still only young, has a decent shot on him and likes to run at defenders

Sunderland
Patrick Van Aanholt - would be a good understudy to Cresswell
Duncan Watmore - would be a signing for the future, I'd probably leave on loan at Sunderland in the Championship

Aston Villa
Jack Grealish - would be a signing for the future, I'd probably leave on loan at Aston Villa in the Championship

There are obviously loads of others I'd like to see us go for, but I'll leave my post at that.

id like to see jordan amarvi from villa was doing well for them until he got injured we going to need decent cover at lb if villa go down season long loan with a view to buy providing he can stay fit.
dont forget fellow hammers 15+ mill may already be spoken for in lanzini/ song/ emenike deals.

Redrobbo2, I forgot about Jordan Pickford. I'd take him as well. But only if I didn't go for Alisson from Internacional in Brazil.

Another keeper worth looking at would be the Southend United keeper Daniel Bentley.

Bkkhammer, you're right we may already have a fair amount of our budget tied up in Lanzini, Emenike and Song. That's why I looked at who was running out of contract in the summer. No transfer fees. Lol.

I'd sign Scott Sinclair as a good squad back up, but if it's a marquee signing. Gundogan of Dortmund or Morata from Juventus would be good, but the top choice would be Ibrahimovic.

I think Sullivan and Bilic know exactly who's coming in the summer, they've done their work now on making sure they get their targets. I would say 1 or 2 of Tore, Gignac, Yilmaz are coming for sure.

I would've liked to see yilmaz but think he has signed a 4 year deal with a Chinese club, maybe we'll go back for Zaza also gignac and tore are possible. I'd like to see Bas dost from Wolfsburg proper old fashioned striker just hitting form at 26 I think.

Bas dost would be a great choice . lebendowski would be my choice.
