Thanks again mike for your updates. as always very informative. Did any of you guys see the game today. very encouraging but why did we start with cole and when they went down to 10 men did we not play with 2 up front. Is sakho not fit because why did'nt he start today. Why do we have 6 strikers when sam will only continue to play with 1 up front. On a bright note we looked very dangerous but cole looked clumsy with poor first touches. Kouyate looked very very good and could easily be player of the season.

Agree, I was at the game today Kouyate was Quality didn't stop running, Creswell was very good as well I'm sure once Valencia is fit he will start ahead of cole, Collins cost us today clumsy to slow we need Tomkins starting tbh, and why did we change o'brien for demel when spurs were down to 10 men didn't make sense, when Jenko is fit back 4 cresswell reid Tomkins and jenkinson, apart from that we played well and was unlucky to lose the game,

I'm sorry I have just read that Sam was asked was he tempted to add another striker when they had ten men, his reply is why would I do that when we have 20 shots at goal, I'll tell you why because the bloke at the front can't find the net, you have bought 2 quality strikers and you bring one on with 5 to go when it's ten men each, I'm sorry I can't take any more if this goose. Please for all our sakes get rid of him now before it's too late

We have a better list than last season but what is holding us back is sam we played better than spurns where did we go wrong formation take advantage of the situation after there red card but sam is to negative simple

I agree with the two posts about we played our hearts out today and got nothing because of SAMs stupid arrogant tactics Vaz Te and Cole were terrible and clumsy. When the ball came to feet they took so long to control it and turn that they had a defender in them and when they did shoot it was way off target. We need to play our best men and we ain't. I would have played zarate from the start and Valencia. On the plus side all the new signings that got on the field were top draw Cresswell was given man of the match by the sponsors

Morning all

I have to agree with all the above. its garingly obvious already that nothing is going to change this sason from last. He starts with Cole and Vaz te who in the championship may scor the odd goa or two but in the PREMIER Lague they simply are NOT good enough.

I heard recently we were after Sawson from Spurs and lots of fans (me included said NO because he is slow). After watching Collins on Saturday I think I cn honestly put hand on heart and say that we need a replacement for him, and fast. He is so clumsy and slow and another year on his age is starting to show.

Lastly, with Diafra Zakho signed and cleared and Valencia ready. who thinks he'll play both up front and if he don;t who tinks he'll play both in one match or will he continue with Cole.

The man has no idea and if this continues will be replaced

The reason Enner Valencia didn't start on Saturday is because his fitness levels aren't yet up to it. Similar situation with Mauro Zarate. Diafra Sakho didn't play probably because he hadn't yet trained with the first team squad.

Personally, I'd rather play Matt Jarvis instead of Ricardo Vaz Te, but then rumours seem to suggest Jarvis could be on the way to West Brom, so maybe he didn't play because they were worried he'd get injured.

On a similar note, maybe the reason Carlton Cole and Ricardo Vaz Te played is because we are trying to put them in the shop window for potential buyers?
