Hope your not getting bored with posts but quite a bit going on dgs are working like beavers! we are one of four clubs after pepe reina as he will look to terminate his Liverpool contract ; the defender I mentioned we were after yesterday was definetly Michael dawson he is being wooed by three clubs us plus sunderland and hull but wants for family reasons to stay in London; poyet is trying to deflect us onto fletcher but its wickham that's wanted if sam can't get zaha on reasonable terms he's going to fire after jesse lingard obviously the owners are standing by the manager at present as they are still trying for various targets ; they are determined to get shot of maiga and vaz te but there are no offers for either at present except loan deals; which is the only way forward at present. ; palace are trying to get in front of us with zaha but he's not keen to go back IRONMIKE

I think we need a centre back as cover but the rest I think is down to our set up I like van gaals set up which is attacking and when they don't have the ball they have a 5 man defence we set up to not lose and invite pressure which even the best team of players in the world will eventually concede a goal but then our issue is because of the way we set up we struggle to score. One man up top with little or no support will struggle to score. We brake very slowly and then when we lose the ball up top we then struggle to get back and we leave the back full of holes. I think Sam is a good manager with a proven track record but he has taken us as far as he can. Is David moyes the answer? Is Neil Lennon the answer? I really don't know but what I did see on Sunday and in New Zealand was a team that does not look happy or confident. We could pick the players who don't do a good job apart but for me it's the manager. How comes Zola had Carlton Cole scoring and he was the subject of inquires from Arsenal was is it the set up? I just think the tactics are wrong the approach is wrong and the ethos is wrong

It seems we've been speaking to Marco Streller from Basel and offered 2 year deal with option of a third and he is seriously contemplating the offer. Watch this space, although he is 33 he is a better version of AC and cheaper
