Good move getting Petric but it all depends how hungry this guy is. We still should have done something about more strikers a lot earlier and made a proper move for a striker instead of fannying about making stupid low bids for players that are never going to be accepted. We should also have got our house in order regarding FFP ruling which don;t come into force until 2015 but the board had us believe that we were being ruled by it NOW which was a load of rubbish. If we go down, we can well and truly point the finger at the board and it will cost them a fortune in the year before a move to OS

People keep complaining about David Gold and David Sullivan and the way they have handled West Hams transfer dealings due to the Financial Fair Play Regulations and whilst I understand your frustration, I also understand their decision.

Clubs spending more money than they can afford now have a short term advantage over the Hammers. However when the FFP Regulations come in to effect we won't have to sell all of our highest earners just to keep within the rules. Some of them will.

Not only that, but the FFP Regulations take in to consideration your finances over the previous 3 seasons, not just the there and then. So if we are keeping within the guidelines now we won't have to worry about it come 2015 where as every other club will.

David Gold and David Sullivan know what they are doing, they wouldn't do it if it wasn't financially correct for the club (and whilst that may benefit themselves as well, its their business).

So chill out.

Boring mate u obviously got some secret agenda or aren't a real fan who is happy to see us in the championship no1 was expecting van Persie but 1 striker as bk would have been nice and what twisted prospective outlook on life they must have if they expect people to believe we didn't have money and found it immediately ac got injured they rode their luck and it didn't pay off

Lets keep it real! We have had 1 poor performance at home since december, get behind the team and show support, the real fans are those that do this not the ones who slate the players for a bad day at the office.

Boring, I don't think so. Everyone is entitled to their own view and opinion, and just because your opinion is different, it doesn't make it right. To say a poster on here has a hidden agenda or isn't a real fan shows a lack of tolerance of other people's views, and a blinkered outlook to say the least. Bye the way, I happen to agree with the chill out poster, if that's alright with you.

I'd like to think that as a hammers fan we'd all get behind the boys instead of criticizing them. We got Petric in so let's give him a chance. He has quality and maybe he is past his prime but given him a run in the team and he might do ok for us. My only concerns are that Big Sam built our team to play to Andy Carroll's strengths and now he is out injured long term I have to question whether we have alternative plans. I'd like to see Morrison in personally running at defenders. And finally, what can the team do in January transfer window if we are already at our limits for FFP ruling. We have Diarra and Carroll both out long term and Cole and downing also out. Worrying!

Thank fully there are teams a lot worse than us in the premier league but a few wins from any of those below us and by christmas we could well be in the pooooo. Hope not, but I just feel as though the board were very near sighted

Petric is still (hopefully) better than what we have at the moment which is. a guy on crutches, a winger/striker who didn't want anything to do with West Ham United a few weeks ago and f**k knows how I can describe Maiga

People whinge and moan when we didn't buy a striker, now we brought one people can't help but still whinge and doubt the quality brought in! Proves that no matter what BS and the board do you still won't be able to stop the sofa fans getting there digs in!
